God’s Design for Friendship

May 2009

Mother/Daughter Adventure for Girls 3rd-7th grade with Kathy Russell.

Girls in today’s society are bombarded with so many messages.  Every day, they are urged to define themselves by the values of this world: the media, friends, popularity, beauty, good grades, athletics, brand names, money.  The list goes on and on.   Christian friendship is one of the refuges Christ has provided for our girls (they are really God’s girls!).  It is an oasis from the storms of this world.  This mother/daughter weekend retreat, God's Design for Friendship, was designed to help our girls remember who they are - they belong to God. The retreat was a big success and we look forward to more in the future!

April 15-17th and  May 6-8th

FALL 2008 SPEAKERS

Mickey RobinsonMickey Robinson.jpg

In November 2008, Aqueduct partnered with several local ministries to provide a broader venue for Mickey Robinson to share his testimony and minister to more folks in the area.  We would like to thank Chapel Hill Transformation, The Watch of the Lord, Trinity School and Reality Ministries for inviting Mickey to speak.  It was a blessing to have Mickey and his wife Barbara lead another very powerful conference at Aqueduct.  Many who attended were deeply touched, encouraged and equipped in their walk.

Releasing the Gift of Prophecy in the Local Church

In October 2008, David and Lin Saunders came to teach on the gifts of the Spirit and how they are used to enhance the local church. David's teaching was transparent and authentic, full of real life stories of people who had been deeply touched by the gift of prophecy. One conference attendee said, "David taught on the impartation of the gifts of the Holy Spirit with such a spirit of love that it does not scare anyone or make people feel uneasy." Others appreciated the strong emphasis on practical ways to operate in the gifts under the authority of the local church.
